CodeFactory is the home for a number of software projects, created by a small band of developers situated across the globe.
Coming together at one terribly grey, but very cool, website to show you their wares, CodeFactory's developers like nothing more than to fire up dev tools, brew strong coffee and hack collaboratively on useful software.
The software on CodeFactory is available for direct download, or there's direct access to source code repositories for the curious.
Interested in hacking on any of source code you see available on CodeFactory? Get in touch and let us know. The passwords for the Subversion repositories are merely a polite request away, should you enjoy the same heady blend of caffeine and coding that we do.
Beta release of System Studio 2 posted by Rys on January 03 2007
I'm not entirely sure why I had the urge to install VS6 and hack on SS2's codebase over the holidays, but I fixed some bugs and built a Vista binary (the way I embed a manifest to fix a UAC issue means it doesn't execute on XP and below, might fix that one day, might not).
So there's a beta release to poke at on the Projects page. Given the frequency of posting between now and the last time, see you all in 2009.
On the other hand, maybe we'll actually release some brand new software this year. Maybe.Showroom 0.9.10-105-final released posted by Rys on August 08 2005
We spoke too soon. 104 had a couple of security holes that we've quickly plugged in a 105 bugfix release, while we audit the code properly. 105 is a highly recommended update and can be found on the Projects page.
Look out for a 106 release that builds on the fixes if needed and be sure that we'll take the knowledge over to the 1.0 tree very soon.Showroom 0.9.10-104-final released posted by Rys on July 22 2005
We've cleaned up 0.9.10 enough that it's likely to be the last time we release from that Showroom code branch before we all move over to working on 1.0.
Repo revision 104 is where we stopped, so you can find 0.9.10-104-final on the Projects page for download. Any bugs or questions can be posted in the forums.Showroom development continues, new release soon posted by Rys on July 18 2005
Despite a quiet couple of months from us, we're still working away on Showroom. There'll be a bugfix release out this week and a new feature release is in the works. Stay tuned for the bugfix release and development news.
I've also began work on a new web app for Codefactory that's a sort of cross between a phpBB MOD and SS2LOG, for those that remember those applications. Based on our own codefactory-www site framework that's available to Codefactory developers, and plenty of brand new code, I'll announce the new project in the coming weeks.Beta release of Showroom posted by Rys on April 22 2005
We've fixed up a couple of annoying mod_rewrite issues and some old code cruft and released a beta test of Showroom. The changes means that it lets you install Showroom in other places other than a webroot, without problems.
I'll update our test gallery with the build very shortly. Find the build on our projects page.New releases of Showroom and System Studio 2 posted by Rys on April 17 2005
Showroom's development continues apace with an alpha release of revision 98, direct from our Subversion repo. There's a bug or two, but we'd appreciate any feedback on the forums.
System Studio 2 gets its first CodeFactory release today too, with 1.0.0.29. There's some removed functionality while the logging system is moved over, but otherwise it's a bugfix and cosmetic release. Feedback on the new installer is welcome.
Find both releases on the projects page.
